Pendant lights have been hanging around as a top trend over the last few years, especially over dining tables or kitchen islands. They create a statement and give so much character to a space, but as usual there are so many options to choose from. Once you figure out how many pendants you need then it’s on to figuring out the best part - style.
Research has shown that people tend to find odd numbers visually appealing so three is the standard number of pendants most people tend to hang, but it also depends on the length of the dining table or island. If an island or table is small then it’s best to stick with two pendants with plenty of space in between.
Choosing a pendant style/design is not easy and requires some creativity. It also boils down to taste - there are choices for all whether it be industrial, farmhouse, or contemporary. If your kitchen is plain then it’s best to go bold with bell jar pendants or pops of colour. If you are a minimalist, you can’t go wrong with clear glass.
